Junior Financial Analyst / Intern – Wealth Management Operations

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented, motivated Junior Financial Analyst/ Intern to join our Wealth Management Operations team in Beirut. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional who combines analytical skills with proficiency in Financial Instruments, Excel, and data processing, and has a strong interest in the operational side of wealth management.

Key Responsibilities:

Daily Tasks

Reconciliation:

·         Reconcile automated data feeds with the Portfolio Management System (PMS).

·         Identify and book any missing transactions in the system.

·         Reconcile cash and securities positions between PMS and Bloomberg portfolios.

Trading Operations:

·         Record and maintain all trade orders in the order book.

·         Book trades for Bloomberg-linked portfolios.

·         Monitor execution and status of trades across automated portfolios.

Private Equity Data Handling:

·         Assist in developing and maintaining automated data loaders for private equity capital calls, distributions, and NAV entries.

Daily Reporting

·         Assist in the preparation and extraction of the daily Risk & Performance reports

 

Weekly Tasks

Cash Flow & Position Monitoring:

·         Track and manage cash levels across portfolios.

·         Support the preparation of Liquidity reports.

·         Monitor upcoming maturities for fixed-income and derivative instruments (bonds, options, futures, deposits, loans, etc.).

·         Record and validate income, dividends, coupons, fees, and payments.

·         Update client portfolios to reflect corporate actions.

Monthly Tasks

End-of-Month Reporting:

·         Perform full portfolio reconciliation across custodians, Bloomberg, and PMS.

·         Support the generation of monthly client reports.

·         Contribute to monthly internal audit reports and data consistency checks.

·         Ensure price consistency across banks and systems.

 

 

Ad-Hoc Tasks

·         Support client and corporate-level data migrations.

·         Assist in building and maintaining data templates and internal reports.

·         Respond to ad-hoc reporting or analysis requests from the team or management.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

·         Bachelor’s degree in finance / management information systems (MIS) or a related field.

·         0–2 years of relevant experience (internships or part-time work acceptable).

·         Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis tools.

·         Proficiency in Python (especially for data cleaning, automation, and reporting) is considered a plus

·         Basic understanding of databases, data structures, and scripting for automation.

·         Familiarity with Portfolio Management Systems (PMS) and financial instruments is a plus.

·         Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills.

·         High attention to detail and accuracy.

·         Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Bonus Skills (Preferred but not Required):

·         Experience with Bloomberg Terminal.

·         Knowledge of SQL or other data query languages.

·         Exposure to reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.

·         Exposure to AI tools
